Sicily, Summer of 1982. Whilst the whole of Italy has gathered to the televisions to see the World Cup, the lives of two boys are about to change completely. 17-year old Gianni, bullied by his friends for being gay and only supported by his mother Lina, sees his life change, when through a moped accident, he meets 16-year old Nino. A great friendship is born between them, which will turn into a feeling that the boys will be forced to keep secret, due to the Southern Italian prejudices at the time.
