Golsar (Persian: گلسار)[a] is a city in the Central District of Savojbolagh County, Alborz province, Iran. Golsar was created as a city out of two villages: Seyfabad-e Bozorg (سيف اباد بزرگ, "Big Seyfabad") and Seyfabad-e Khaleseh (سيف اباد خالصه, "Little Seyfabad").[6]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the population (as the total of its constituent villages before their merger) was 11,013 in 2,775 households, when it was in Tehran province.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 13,745 people in 4,103 households,[2] by which time the county had been separated from the province in the establishment of Alborz province.[8]
