The twenty first season of the American medical drama television series Grey's Anatomy was announced on April 2, 2024.[1]

This is the first season not to feature Jake Borelli and Midori Francis as series regulars since the sixteenth and nineteenth seasons, respectively.[2] Jason George was repromoted as series regular following the conclusion of Station 19.[3]

On May 13, 2024, it was reported that Jake Borelli will not be returning as a series regular and that all the returning main cast members will not appear in every episode due to budget cuts.[5] On May 15, 2024, it was reported that Midori Francis will not be returning as a series regular for the season.[6] On June 12, 2024, it was reported that Jason George was repromoted to series regular following the cancellation of Station 19.
