Jackson Malachi Meeks is an American football wide receiver for the Syracuse Orange. He previously played for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Early life and high school

Meeks attended Central High School located in Phenix City, Alabama. Coming out of high school, Meeks was rated as a three-star recruit, where he held offers from schools such as Georgia, Ole Miss, South Alabama, and West Virginia.[1] Ultimately, Meeks committed to play college football for the Georgia Bulldogs.[2][3]

College career

During Meeks first three collegiate seasons from 2021 to 2023, he played in 36 games, where he hauled in ten receptions for 132 yards, while also making five tackles.[4][5][6] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Meeks decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[7][8]

Syracuse

Meeks decided to transfer to play for the Syracuse Orange.[9][10] In week five of the 2024 season, Meeks hauled in ten receptions for 161 yards and a touchdown, as he helped Syracuse to a win over the Holy Cross Crusaders.[11] For his performance he was named the ACC receiver of the week.[12] In week seven, Meeks notched 11 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown, as he helped the Orange to a win over the NC State Wolfpack, where for his performance he was once again named the ACC receiver of the week.[13]

Personal life

Meeks is the nephew of NFL linebacker, Za'Darius Smith.[14][15]
