Jackson Malachi Meeks is an American football wide receiver for the Syracuse Orange. He previously played for the Georgia Bulldogs.
Early life and high school
[edit]Meeks attended Central High School located in Phenix City, Alabama. Coming out of high school, Meeks was rated as a three-star recruit, where he held offers from schools such as Georgia, Ole Miss, South Alabama, and West Virginia.[1] Ultimately, Meeks committed to play college football for the Georgia Bulldogs.[2][3]
College career

[edit]During Meeks first three collegiate seasons from 2021 to 2023, he played in 36 games, where he hauled in ten receptions for 132 yards, while also making five tackles.[4][5][6] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Meeks decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[7][8]
Syracuse
[edit]Meeks decided to transfer to play for the Syracuse Orange.[9][10] In week five of the 2024 season, Meeks hauled in ten receptions for 161 yards and a touchdown, as he helped Syracuse to a win over the Holy Cross Crusaders.[11] For his performance he was named the ACC receiver of the week.[12] In week seven, Meeks notched 11 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown, as he helped the Orange to a win over the NC State Wolfpack, where for his performance he was once again named the ACC receiver of the week.[13]
Personal life
[edit]Meeks is the nephew of NFL linebacker, Za'Darius Smith.[14][15]
