The 2022 season was the 15th season for the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). They were one of the ten teams that competed in the 2022 Indian Premier League. The franchise qualified for the IPL playoffs for the first time in 2011 and won the tournament in 2012 and 2014.[1][2] The franchise also qualified for the playoffs in the three consecutive years of 2016, 2017 and 2018[3][4] as well as in 2021 when they were runners up.
