Mary Beth Imes is an American politician from Kentucky. She represents District 5 in the Kentucky House of Representatives as a member of the Republican Party.[1] Prior to holding office, she was the director of the Imes Funeral Home and Crematory.[2] She was elected in 2020 when incumbent representative Larry Elkins retired.

Personal life[edit]

Imes is a Baptist.[2] She has three children with her husband, Kenny Imes. Kenny previously represented the 5th district from 2013 to 2018.[2]

Elections[edit]

2020 Imes was unopposed in the 2020 republican primary and won the 2020 Kentucky House of Representatives election, with 14,855 votes against Democratic candidate Shannon Davis-Roberts.[3]

2022 Imes was unopposed in both the 2022 republican primary and 2022 Kentucky House of Representatives election, winning with 11,181 votes.[3]

2024 Imes was unopposed in the 2024 republican primary and will face Democratic candidate Lauren Hines during the 2024 Kentucky House of Representatives election.[3]
