Mike Bishop, also credited as Michael Bishop, is an Australian actor, director and drama coach.[1] For his performance in Ghosts… of the Civil Dead he was nominated for the 1989 Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role.[3]

Screen roles he has played include Malcolm[4] Bastard Boys,[5] and Neighbours where he was also the drama coach.[1]

Bishop's theatre career[6][7] includes Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood at the Melbourne Concert Hall in 1996,[8] touring with The Hobbit puppet show as Gandalf in 1997[9][10] Dirty Dancing as Max Kellerman in 2014-15[11][12] and Singin' in the Rain as R.F. Simpson in 2016.[13][14]

Bishop directed Dr. Cade at La Mama in Carlton as part of the 2002 Melbourne Fringe Festival which then move to Beckett Theatre in Southbank and Stables Theatre in Darlinghurst in 2003.[15][16][17][18][19]
