Nekoma is an census-designated place in Weller Township, Henry County, Illinois, United States.
History
[edit]The town of Nekoma was laid out in July 1869.[3]
Geography
[edit]The town is located in the far south of the county, at the intersections of Illinois Routes 17 and 82.[4]
According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Nekoma has a total area of 0.13 square miles (0.34 km2), all land.[5]
Demographics
[edit]Nekoma first appeared as a census designated place in the 2020 U.S. Census.[6]
As of the 2020 census[7] there were 23 people, 48 households, and 0 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 175.57 inhabitants per square mile (67.79/km2).
