Red background?

[edit]

A bit hard to read the text (especially the redlinks!), no? ;-) Kirill Lokshin 14:14, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree this is hard to read and not as visually appealing as it might be. I really like the blue and grey Hal was using for the menu. Maybe use yellow and red for accents. BusterD 21:37, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that's what I was going to try. Looks better. CQ 22:01, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm throwing some different looks at the reader. Please revert to the one you like best. BusterD 22:02, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
What about the Gray for the title background and Blue for the Box border with something like #F5F5F5 (SmokeWhite) for the main background? I dunno. CQ 22:10, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good call on the smoke white. I like the steel blue better than a more pure hue. I'm going to stop and let others look and decide. BusterD 22:19, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was getting used to the steel blue and smoke gray. The outlines don't look that great, that's why I dropped them. BusterD 22:55, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
How about this: gray outlines matching header color? BusterD 23:01, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flag Inconsistency

[edit]

I think we need some consistency here regarding the USA and CSA flags in the header. Currently, it is the 35 Star USA flag (adopted in July 4, 1863), and the Stars and Bars. The Stars and Bars was no longer in use by the CSA by the time the USA adopted the 35 star flag, so I believe one of them needs to be changed. I propose either changing the USA flag to the 34 star version, so both flags represent those in use at the beginning of the war, or changing the CSA flag to the Third National, so both reflect the flags in use at the end of the war. I'm not sure which. Should we use the flags that were in use at the beginning of the war or those that were in use at the end?VladJ92 (talk) 11:40, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
