Career

[edit]

Born in Karlstadt, Büchner studied at the Fachakademie für Katholische Kirchenmusik und Musikerziehung [de] in Regensburg and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München,[1][2] with Diethard Hellmann, Godehard Joppich [de], Franz Lehrndorfer and Gerhard Weinberger [de] among others.[3][4]

He has been from 1994 Domkapellmeister at the Regensburg Cathedral, succeeding Georg Ratzinger.
