Article Creation

[edit]

This article is a partial translation of the linked German article. The section '16 points' was created by me as the German 'content' section was lacking. Narvwa (talk) 15:30, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues

[edit]

This article seems to have many factual discrepancies in contrast with the more detailed text present in the Polish Corridor article. I have already re-ordered part of this text, because based off how it was written before, it seemingly states that a Polish ambassador was sent to Berlin on September 1st mid-day, hours after Germany had already invaded Poland. The text in the Polish Corridor more reasonably seems like it states that the Polish ambassador arrived on August 31st, the day before the invasion and the day Hitler gave orders to invade Poland (likely after the arrival of the ambassador). The text in the Polish Corridor article also says that Ribbentrop did hand a paper list of the terms of the ultimatum, while this article says the opposite.

Now, I do not speak German, so I cannot read the sources used in this article, but the statements made in the background of the ultimatum in the Polish Corridor article seem much more realistic than the ones made here. It would be very helpful if somebody could review both texts and their sources to figure out which one is accurate and/or if the text needs to be rearranged. Thanks!
