after M. Night Shyamalan's name and professional background was: (Indian). i thought it was referring to his having been an actor in india, then a director etc in US. turns out someone just wanted to make sure we all knew his ethnic heritage. next time someone thinks thats important, remember to put "european-american" , "african american", "hispanic american", "asian american", or "chinese", "japanese", "european", etc next to these names. and by the way, he is not indian, but indian american, and is also caucasian. sorry for the rant.
