Contested deletion[edit]

This redirect should not be speedy deleted as an implausible typo or misnomer, because there is no typo, misnomer or misspelling here at all. If you're not familiar with organic chemistry nomenclature don't involve yourself in this. 2,3-dimethylaniline is another name for 2,3-xylidine, period. The reason I made the redirect page was because "2,3-dimethylaniline" was used as a link in an article but didn't lead anywhere - which clearly is misleading as there already is a page under another name. --Norsci (talk) 22:35, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I know what it is - I know organic chemistry. I checked for 2,3-xylidine and found no similar requirement for a redirect and thought it improbable that anyone would search for the term quite like that in wikipedia. I wasn't suggesting it was implausible because it was a typo but because I didn't think it would ever be needed as is. However apparently it was the wrong tag for that.-- 🍺 Antiqueight confer 23:29, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Alright. Sorry if I came off as a dick. Cheers. Norsci (talk) 01:40, 2 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
