Wikipedia is not a memorial website[edit]

@Rexxx7777: Wikipedia is not a memorial website, so why are the names of the victims, who are not public figures as far as I can tell, sufficiently notable to be mentioned in this article? Just because someone is shot and injured, or even killed, does not make it necessary to mention them in an encyclopedia entry. Remember that Wikipedia is not here to repeat the news but here to build an encyclopedia. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 00:00, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's an article on a mass murder? I don't see a reason not to mention their names, especially if their already known to the public. If you're talking about the victims in this article that were not killed, then I guess I see where you're coming from. Also I don't see how I'm memorializing them, I just mentioned them because it makes sense to include them. Rexxx7777 (talk) 00:12, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
