Point spread

[edit]

@Eposty: @Lepricavark: Like @Corkythehornetfan: said we need to discuss this here before any more reverts occur or we all risk a block for edit warring. Eposty, as far as your "I have relatives that work in the industry" comment, that's something we call original research. My uncle is Tony Barker but I don't use add anything that cannot be sourced to his article. I did just do some research and I did find one website using fractions. 1 2 are two examples of ones that use decimals. Looks like its actually inconsistent on if fractions or decimals are used. So this is going to have to be a consensus.--Rockchalk717 17:31, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've read countless sports articles and my experience is that decimals are used. Lepricavark (talk) 17:32, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
    • Well if you guys want to be wrong, go ahead with decimals. I chalk it up to laziness because when typing it is easier to put ".5" instead of "12", though it is much easier to read 2012 than 20.5. I will still use the fraction when entering things. posty (talk) 18:06, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
      • That kind of attitude is not coming to a consensus on an edit dispute. It's not laziness, its consistency. Big difference.--Rockchalk717 18:27, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
        • If it was consistency then all websites would have decimals than fractions, which is not the case. It is much easier (i.e. lazy) to type 20.5 instead of 2012 while typing. posty (talk) 22:07, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
          • My apologies I thought you meant we wanted to decimals because of laziness. On the websites it very well could be they just don't want to code a fraction.--Rockchalk717 02:43, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

UMBC Photos

[edit]

While we still don't have any free use pictures of the game, I did just upload images of the UMBC team visit to the Governor of Maryland (Commons:Category:2017–18 UMBC Retrievers men's basketball team). --Elisfkc (talk) 16:49, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
