Why no pairs?

[edit]

Dear friends, @Bgsu98 or @CammiBel!

Thank you for the work on the article.

I am confused, why there is no pairs competition included here. According to the [https://page.pfsa.com.pl/results/2324/CSPOL2023/index.htmresults], the pairs competition was held, too.

Is it an error, or does it have some reason that I don't know and/or understand? Asking before possibly adding the info (however the entries changes will be difficult to reconstruct...)

Thanks for the answer. Okino (talk) 01:48, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I could be mistaken, but I don't believe the pairs competition was part of the Challenger Series. Bgsu98 (Talk) 01:50, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello!
According to the Announcement of the competition, it says: "The [pairs] event will be held alongside ISU CS Warsaw Cup 2023 but the pair skating is an international competition only and not part of the ISU Challenger Series in Figure Skating."
The 2023 CS Warsaw Cup is only for the Challenger Series event and since pairs wasn't part of it, it wasn't included. The Polish Skating Federation probably added pairs in the CS results page so they didn't need to create another page only for pairs. CammiBel (talk) 19:33, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the answer.
I understand it, however, it seems to me, inclusion of the results in a specific "Non-ISU CS" section would be better than leaving it away at all - what do you think? Okino (talk) 18:31, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We have included non-CS results in similar tables in the past, so there is nothing wrong with adding them as long as there is an explanation that they did not count toward the CS competition. Bgsu98 (Talk) 20:06, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
