Claims of war crimes committed by Saudi coalition in Yemen

[edit]

My edit mentioning that the Saudi-led intervention in the Yemeni civil war has been accused of war crimes was undone, with the message "cited claims only" attached. The claims in question are made by organizations like the United Nations, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch, as indicated on the relevant Wikipedia article ("War crimes in the Yemeni civil war (2014-present)" which was hyperlinked. At what point do enough organizations have to suggest that the laws of war may have been violated such that it becomes permissible to acknowledge that said claims may be based in some truth? I mean, there is an entire section of the "War crimes in the Yemeni civil war (2014-present)" article titled "War crimes by the Saudi-led intervention". Would the removal of that section also be justified because it "cites claims only"? I don't believe there's anything wrong with citing claims so long as said claims are credible and attested to by reliable sources, not part of original research, etc. Penguinsprite (talk) 16:56, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just seeing this discussion. To echo what I said in my edit summary, a podcast is not a reliable source. Regardless of the claim being made, we need it to be supported by a reliable source. If you can find a reliable connecting the EWC and the war crimes in the Yemeni civil war, it would be appropriate to readd the statement. – Pbrks (t·c) 18:07, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There are non , neither are the women’s rights or lgbtq , these have nothing to do with this tournament hosting as I said before Saudis have literal interest in gaming their team ‘Falcons’ are currently leading with most points, this political issues have nothing to do with them hosting the tournament. 176.225.182.75 (talk) 14:11, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
