Ali Baba

[edit]

This article claims that 41 robbers accompanied Ali Baba in the Arabian Nights story. The article 40 (number) refers to 40 robbers. Which one is true? Is it Ali Baba + 40 robbers = 41 individuals? --Niels Ø 15:02, Apr 19, 2005 (UTC)

Bach

[edit]

I notice that it says that 41 is "encoded" in Bach's music forming the sum from A=1, B=2 etc on JSBACH. In fact as stands this does not work, and the total produced is 43. Bach would have used the 24 letter Latin alphabet where I=J (and U=V), to produce the total 41. However, it is also worth noting that this is sometimes disputed among musicologists and is a source of some controversy. I'm afraid I don't have a reference to hand for this, but not all musicologists accept Bach's use of number alphabets in this way. Alan1507 14:43, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paul McCartney

[edit]

This article claims that Paul McCartey sings "Let it be" 41 times in the song "Let it be". All of the lyrics I've found (e.g. this one) and examined says 36.

Smallest Eulerian Number

[edit]

Isn't 41 the smallest Eulerian lucky number, with k=1? The largest one is 1601 for k=40. Yogurt (talk) 16:00, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
