Someone recently removed the tag that asked to improve the external links because it appears they are actually references. This tag happens to be called "NoFootNotes" but it doesn't only mean there are no footnotes. It has a specific statement in it about turning external links into references. This article would definitely be better if someone cited the external links inline. Arthurrh 18:18, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The tag was putting it in a category for articles without any inline citations. This articles does have inline citations. It would be better if had more, but there are articles that have no inline citations whatsoever that are more appropriate for the attention in that category. I won't revert you if put the tag back. But it would much better if you went ahead and converted these to inline citations yourself instead adding a tag to an red-zone backlogged category.--BirgitteSB 19:06, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed "Spitz"" from the page name

[edit]

The name 8 x 68 mm Spitz or other name variants with "Spitz" in the name is rather irresponsible to use. The letter S in 8 mm cartridges from German origin provides gunsmiths, ammunition traders and users information on the particular bore dimensions to avoid dangerous situations with bullets that do not have the correct diameter, since several 8 mm bores with varying dimensions are in existence.

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!
