nominations

[edit]

um why are some of the nominations bolded? pretty sure the winners have NOT been announced yet. I have changed the nominations to reflect this RoboBongoCuckooCop (talk)

why are winners double marked?

[edit]

it states: Winners are listed first, highlighted in boldface, and indicated with a double dagger (‡)

  • why? is bold not enough? who is able to see the small (‡) at the end of a bold line?
  • what is the benefit of it?
  • (I would remove the double dagger)

thanks for reasons, -- 178.239.74.16 (talk) 11:36, 26 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You make a good point. I am not 100% sure, but I think this has something to do with Wikipedia's "rules" for "accessibility". In other words, some readers have difficulty seeing. So, we can't just use different colors to differentiate winners from nominees. So, they typically include some sort of symbol. In this case, the double dagger. I believe this is the reasoning behind it. To comply with the Wikipedia rules for accessibility by all readers. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 15:10, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Here are all the details: Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility. And, here are some more: Wikipedia:Accessibility dos and don'ts. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 15:13, 27 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Okay looks likes the winners have pages, but...

[edit]

Some are just redirects to the films, like for example the sound editors of Bohemian Rhapsody are just redirects. I think someone probably should turn those into pages sometime. (I'm looking up who has yet to have pages go up, someone mentioned the film editor of Green Book earlier, yes I'm aware that is not a winner but there are some noms without pages.) Multiple Awards/Nominations Tables

[edit]

Can someone please add tables with films that won multiple awards and nominations? If you need assistance getting the list started, Bohemian Rhapsody had the most wins, while Roma and The Favourite shared the most nominations. Jgwilliams873 (talk) 01:32, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
