Locking CPUs to specific motherboards
[edit]This is being used as means of CPU DRM to lock specific CPUs to a particular motherboard manufacturer. It is very likely that consumer Ryzen CPUs can theoretically use this feature, allowing a hacker who has cracked the PSP to permanently brick the processor.
