POV Chilean police

[edit]

The statement that "Both of these references directly critique the Chilean police for their history of claiming to protect women while using sexual violence against female demonstrators." appear to reflect a particular point of view. Episodes of Chilean police involved in sexual violence are incidents.. not something customary, if some kind of systematic sexual violence or a poor culture on this topic is claimed then reliable sources backing this should be added. I think rather than be removed the sentence should be re-written to reflect it is an opinion or claim that Chilean police suffers the said kind hypocrisy. The statement "Both of these references directly critique the Chilean police for their history of claiming to protect women while using sexual violence against female demonstrators." is more than simply a point of view.
The National Human Rights Institute (INDH), Human Rights Watch (HRW), Amnesty International (AI), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UN) all published reports that condemned violent police actions and documented human rights violations that included excessive use of police force and sexual abuse (AI-2019, HRW-2019, UN-2019, INDH-2020).
