O’Leary’s error
[edit]I’m the ‘Adam O’Leary’ (actually Alan) cited in the entry, and I want to acknowledge an error in my writing. This film and its sequel may well refer to the Back to the Future series, but the most immediate inspiration will certainly have been the first two Bill and Ted films. Of course, the Bill and Ted films were themselves riffing on Back to the Future, rendering more episodic and farcical the goal-oriented plot of the earlier film. It only goes to show that the problem of origins can never be resolved. Still, it should be pointed out that both the Bill and Ted films and the A spasso nell tempo films are examples of popular cinephiles. Both perform an operation of allusion that can be assumed to be shared between filmmakers and audience. 2A02:AA7:4006:6B2C:11CE:AF4F:E72C:9A3B (talk) 18:46, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
