Hebrew meaning of the name very dubious

[edit]

Ab or Av indeed means "father", as any Hebrew dictionary will tell.

But how is "inadi" or "nadi" supposed to express "among you" escapes my mind. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 10:30, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple points of view?

[edit]
This article improperly uses one or more religious texts as primary sources without referring to secondary sources that critically analyze them. Please help improve this article by adding references to reliable secondary sources, with multiple points of view.

I don't see as how there could be multiple points of view on Abinadi specifically. The Book of Mormon does not give enough information about him to form any. If one believes that the Book of Mormon is true then Abinadi was a good guy who taught Alma and died for his beliefs. If one does not believe that the Book of Mormon is true then one does not believe that Abinadi existed. And that's all. What would there be for scholars to do here? --BenMcLean (talk) 18:04, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@Klarst: Re this edit, are you saying the removed text is a copyright violation? If so, a shorter summary can be provided. -- Beland (talk) 20:07, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
