Yes there are. I cited both of them in a previous edit. See the two below, the first one citing the second one in its retraction of the reporting, in fact:
Until the switch is confirmed either by the player, the official outlet of the Nigerian FA, or Lookman plays for Nigeria in an international match, he remains an English player, as he was born in England and has represented England before at the international level. As of right now, there is no clear, irrefutable evidence that his sporting nationality is anything other than English. Anwegmann (talk) 15:23, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Those sources don't dispute the fact that Lookman is switching? I think you are misreading them. They only prematurely guess when the switch would be finalised, claiming that it was already complete in January when in actual fact it is still waiting to be finalised. They don't disagree with the claim that Lookman is in the process of switching and neither does the NFF, the NFF is just denying that the switch had already been finalised at that time. The NFF is not denying the overall switch is taking place. Those two sources are very poor quality and are unreliable in any case (the first one is a Fulham fan blog!). Have a look at these much better sources, and you will see that the process has been ongoing since early 2020, something that the NFF has itself acknowledged and previously announced:
Where in any of these does it say that the switch is complete? If it is not complete, it might as well not exist. My point, which you seem to be missing, is that suggestions of a switch are not the same things as confirmations and completions of a switch. He is not a Nigerian player until the switch is complete. Period. After it is, go ahead and add all you want about it. This is not a journalism page. It is an encyclopedia article. Anwegmann (talk) 16:35, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well actually, if you read my edits properly, and read the wording of the text I inserted, I never said it was finalised. I explicitly wrote in the international career section that as of April 2021, Lookman is waiting for the switch to be finalised. Well obviously yes he's not a Nigerian player, he's never been called up to their team as of yet? I'm not disagreeing with that fact, as I say, I never claimed that the switch had been finalised. The switch is not being 'suggested' in these sources here, it is being explicitly announced by the NFF, so its not about reporting on rumours, as you seem to think it is. It's about reporting the fact that the Nigeria Football Federation itself has announced the switch. One way system (talk) 16:44, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You are adding too much language in there that is time sensitive. Again, this is an encyclopedia article. One sentence explaining that he has submitted an application to switch to Nigeria internationally in the international section is sufficient. His "waiting" on the switch, the Nigerian FAs announcement of application, etc. all don't matter at this point and only serve to add unnecessary and misleading journalistic content to the article. Once the switch is completed and/or finalized, then you can add an explanation of how it came about, how long it took, when different parties announced the switch, etc. At that point, it will all be relevant, because the switch will be done and dusted. Until then, though, it is all irrelevant, as it could all become completely moot if FIFA, for some reason, does not approve the switch. That is, of course, unlikely, but it is possible. Anwegmann (talk) 16:54, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What are you even on about? What I wanted was the international career section to say that he had submitted an ongoing application, something which you now admit is acceptable. Since we agree on that point now, I think there is nothing more to add at this point. One way system (talk) 17:09, 12 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
