If you're able to read Papiamento, you might find some additional data in these clippings: ¿Riverside from Curacao visits Aruba? and Libertad from Costa Rica plays against Aruban champion RCA It says that Jani's foot or leg got injured and he "now" makes a come-back. Did he play for Libertad in 1953/54??? (which would explain the lack of Aruban news articles) Or was he injured in a match against Libertad the previous year?
