[edit]

I have a query about some of the categories used for "Aemilia Tertia", the article. While I recognize her importance, I am not sure the categories used for her husband Scipio Africanus should also be used here.

For example, Second Punic War commanders | Ancient Roman generals| Roman Republican consuls

We do not have categories like this for the entries on women in Imperial Rome such as Livia, nor for the article Aemilia's better-known daughter Cornelia Africana, i.e. by putting the categories for the husband (or son) for the woman concerned.

In short, request to delete those three categories from the article.

DC page review

[edit]

@Iazyges: Having stumbled on the gaping hole that apparently is the Doug Coldwell incident, I noticed that this was one article that was created there and according to the statistics still contains large amounts of DC content. I'm pinging because I'm not sure who to ask. Are there any tools that identify who added what in the article? Is there any way to cross-reference articles tagged WP:CGR with DC-heavy articles? Ifly6 (talk) 06:43, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the history of the article, DC wrote pretty much everything. It's a case of WP:BLOWITUP T8612 (talk) 07:46, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Note: the reference to this strange sentence "Aemilia was gentle, mild-mannered, but also fiercely loyal to her husband" is suspect. There is no mention of her in Scullard's Scipio Africanus, "p. ii", which should normally be the blank page that follows the cover... T8612 (talk) 07:53, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps we should stubify the article in the first instance? Ifly6 (talk) 14:13, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ifly6: There is a tool called MW:WhoWroteThat that we might usually use (but doesn't seem to be working for me currently?), which would highlight the bits he wrote; however, it will not highlight things he wrote that were lightly modified by someone else. In this case, a huge percentage of the article is his, going back 16 years... I would strongly recommend nuking the article. Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 16:37, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@T8612 and Iazyges: I will drop in this replacement draft I put together this morning later today if there are no objections. Ifly6 (talk) 16:40, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me. Thanks! Iazyges Consermonor Opus meum 16:56, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Ifly6 (talk) 17:15, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
