Gender? Number?[edit]

I was rather surprised to find a link to an Epidendrum from a list (apparently by Kew) re-directed to a page about an Aerides and decided to investigate. While tracking down the cause of the confusion, I found that this taxon had apparently been published as A. multiflora, not as A. multiflorum, and that no authority had been listed for the change. (Have we decided that Aerides is neuter, not feminine, as Roxburgh thought? Or perhaps that this plant has many flower, instead of the many flowers that Roxburgh observed?) Perhaps someone who cares more about the Vandeae than I do will clear up this discrepancy. Jay L09 (talk) 17:13, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism?[edit]

So, just realized that what I just translated was basically a duplicate of the source. Although the source has been cited, the material still needs to be reworded to be something more original. If you feel like taking this on, view the history to see my translation of the description section, or I suppose you could go directly to the source. Which is in English. --Jp07 (talk) 20:03, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
