1. History : when and events

ACN would not have happened if not for Shop at Home and events that occurred there.

F. Robert Hall had left "Shop at Home" as President. (Paul Cowell, CEO).

A new group of investors took a major position in the company. The new group changed the vendor / show host schedule disrupting the coin show that Earl H. Roberts presented. Mr. Roberts knowing of a possible change sought to investigate a possible alternative to Shop at Home and explored the possibility of founding a new shopping network. Mr. Roberts together with August "Augie" Blevins, James P. Buie, and Douglas Burt esq. decided that it was feasible to start a new network in direct competition to Shop at Home.

The trade name “AMERICA'S COLLECTIBLES NETWORK” was applied for on August 23, 1993 by Mr. Roberts (1) reference www.uspto.gov search AMERICA'S COLLECTIBLES NETWORK

Carrol (Renner) Greenlee who had previously worked for Shop at Home and worked with Mr. Roberts was of great help and resources also joined in the initial team that helped form ACN.

Alvin Theron Hodges was instrumental in assisting with the acquisition of a C-Band uplink truck and introduction to a source for broadcast satellite availability.

James P. Buie was instrumental in assisting with the networking of vendors in NY and elsewhere to supply product to ACN.
