Dorian Invasion?

[edit]
"In the Mycenaean period it attracted attention from the invading Dorians, and the fact of their eventual conquest of Thebes lie behind the stories of the successive legendary attacks on that city."

Really? "Invading Dorians?" Has anyone in the past two hundred years come up with any evidence for invading Dorians? The quoted sentence, and especially "the fact of their eventual conquest of Thebes," more than strongly implies that someone has, which is not in the least bit correct. The so-called Dorian invasion is a theory, but one without evidence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.180.49.44 (talk) 19:33, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

End of the story in 335

[edit]

Why is there no mention of the city's history in the Antiquity after 335 (hellenistic and roman periods)? Doesn't it belong to the subject "ancient Thebes"? --Phso2 (talk) 06:50, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No reason. It's just that no one has written it yet. If you have sources, you can take a crack at it. RJC TalkContribs 13:37, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
