Redirect

[edit]

I have redirected this article based on the following three pages:

  • Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, namely Wikipedia articles on published works (such as fictional stories) should cover their real-world context and sourced analysis, offering detail on a work's development, impact or historical significance, not solely a detailed summary of that work's plot.
  • Wikipedia:Notability (fiction), namely Avoid creating new articles on fictional topics that lack substantial real-world content (and ideally an out-of-universe perspective) from the onset. Editors must prove, preferably in the article itself, that there is an availability of sources providing real-world information by: providing hyperlinks to such sources; outlining a rewrite, expansion, or merge plan; and/or gaining the consensus of established editors.
  • Wikipedia:Manual of Style, namely There are specific notability prerequisites to be met by fictional subjects to warrant articles specifically about them. As mentioned earlier, the rule of thumb is that if the topic is sufficiently notable, secondary sources should be available. (snip) It is important that articles give due weight to all aspects of the subject, and to avoid placing undue emphasis on minor points. This concerns all elements of the article page, including infoboxes and succession boxes as well as images and the text.

Before restoring a version of the article prior top the redirect, please consider whether it meets the above criteria. If not, based on policy and guidance, the article should remain a redirect. Hiding Talk 17:13, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
