Suggested edits to the Armillaria root rot article: The article current makes an unsubstantiated statement that I'm 99% sure is factually way off base, namely, "Hundreds of trees and shrubs are susceptible to root rot to varying degrees. In fact, the only two species of tree known to be resistant to Armillaria root rot are larch and birch. Further investigation is being conducted for additional species, but at this time there is no further evidence leading to the belief that more exist."

There are authoritative publications of multiple university studies listing resistant trees other than just larch and birch. Keep in mind, the issue is "resistant" not "immune". Just a couple of the publications that list numerous species of resistant trees are:

Furthermore, the article at http://ipm.illinois.edu/landturf/diseases/armillaria/ states that both birch and larch ARE susceptible, while naming several others that are resistant. So the statement is wrong on both counts. If there is evidence to support the writer's statement then a citation would be in order.

Hopefully someone with better editing skills than I will take interest and work on the article.
