Another prime example of why I don't edit much anymore and will NEVER give Wikipedia money - came here to get a character's name and discovered that the hundreds of hours that several people put into the very detailed individual episode articles were all deleted by yet another power-tripping A-hole. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 23.240.124.18 (talk) 19:47, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia isn't the only source of information there is on the Internet (WP:ALTERNATIVE). It's not meant to be a collection of everything there ever is (WP:NOT). The episode articles weren't deleted, but redirected because of lack of notability, as they all just contained were plot summaries and/or in-universe trivia (not any real-world information) (WP:FANCRUFT, WP:TRIVIA) which is against Wikipedia guidelines for TV episode articles (WP:EPISODE, WP:NOTPLOT). This is why outside fan wikis exist, to contain all that information. Here's a link to the Arrested Development Wiki. Drovethrughosts (talk) 20:18, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Episode order

[edit]

@Some Dude From North Carolina: The "right" order is the DVD order because it's the correct chronological story order. The other order is how Fox aired the episodes originally, which was out-of-order in some spots. We've been using the DVD order on Wikipedia for ten years now. A correct chronological order, that is intended by the creators and is supported by the DVD releases, is more important than how the show was originally broadcast. The original broadcast occurred once, the DVDs exist forever. The original air dates are listed, so that information is not lost, but the correct DVD order is lost in your version. You're even using The A.V. Club as references in the episode articles, which is using the DVD order. Per that article, "As you can see by the airdates, these are also the first episodes to shown out of order by Fox. They won’t be the last." Drovethrughosts (talk) 21:32, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
