The result of the move request was: Moved. There is consensus for the original nominated move, but I don't see consensus for the alternative proposal of using "(combat vehicle)" as the disambiguator. Not sure that's warranted anyway, since the article and categories and sources call it an IFV. Could be the subject of a future RM if desired, but I'd probably oppose that myself.  — Amakuru (talk) 11:10, 23 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ATOM (IFV)Atom (infantry fighting vehicle) – "ATOM" doesn't seem to stand for anything so should be in lowercase, "IFV" is cryptic whereas the purpose of disambiguators should be to explain so they should be written in plain English. * Pppery * it has begun... 22:26, 14 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support and yes might want to rename Puma (German IFV) too In ictu oculi (talk) 21:17, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    And Puma (Italian AFV)? — BarrelProof (talk) 23:10, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Can we settle on something like Atom (combat vehicle) (see combat vehicle) per WP:NCDAB If there are several possible choices for parenthetical disambiguation, use the same disambiguating phrase already commonly used for other topics within the same class and context, if any. Otherwise, choose whichever is simpler. "Infantry fighting vehicle" is a mouthful, and Puma (Italian AFV) is actually an armored fighting vehicle, whatever the difference is. No objection to that rename instead. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:16, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
