  • New GA, long enough (!), QPQ done, no copyvio. A lot of citations to modern editions of primary sources. I am trusting that they are being used appropriately and judiciously. @Hybernator: What do you think of the follow ALT1? Srnec (talk) 01:25, 7 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for the review, Srnec. The extant Burmese chronicles are certainly secondary sources, and in most cases, tertiary and beyond. Also, thanks for the ALT1 suggestion. It's certainly more interesting than mine but I think Yaza Manu not having a Wiki link is a detractor. What do you think about ALT2? The citation is (Phayre 1967: 69, footnote 1).
I think the fact that few readers will know what a jingal is limits its appeal. Srnec (talk) 01:17, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Srnec, I'd have thought jingal might pique readers' interest! Anyway, how about ALT2a, ALT2b, and ALT3?
  • ALT3: "... that Ava forces had their enemy king Razadarit nearly cornered early in the First Ava–Hanthawaddy War but could not catch him?"
  • (Sources: (Maha Yazawin Vol. 1 2006: 292–293), (Hmannan Vol. 1 2003: 419–420); (Phayre 1967: 68))
See the end of the first invasion in the article. Thanks. Hybernator (talk) 05:29, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • ALT0 is the best of these and is approved. (I still like my ALT1.) The promoter can consider dates in lieu of "first" as in:
Either works. Srnec (talk) 22:20, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
