Valley of Shadows

[edit]

There is a quasi-official expansion, which is a collection of fan ideas from Slovakia and Czech Republic. It's called "Údolí stínů" - "Valley of Shadows" and it was released by Albi - the official distributor of several foreign Bang! editions. http://www.modernihry.cz/bang-udoli-stinu-p-729.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.98.12.131 (talk) 11:54, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This expansion actually has (23) total cards rather than (20) as stated, even though the additional (3) are described as "bonus cards." SquashEngineer (talk) 13:28, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

character inspiration

[edit]

i think the only goal of the "character inspiration" section is to show to which real person or popular fiction character each character card was inspired...i think a description of the character's ability is out of place here and they should be removed - except maybe for peculiar ones like Apache Kid's. What do you think?Anyep 08:35, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I think a section of character abilities would be more fitting. The character inspiration section is nice for people who might not immediately get the references, but giving their in-game ability is pointless to the purpose of a section called character inspiration --BeyondAShadow (talk) 00:51, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree. --Jollyroger (talk) 08:59, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In the game it may be confusing how to use the two blank cards. However one is a blank character card, and the other is a blank card. My recommendation is a 'switching role card' which allows you to switch roles at any time (Except with the sheriff) This card will help keep the game refreshing and new even when the game gets dull. The character card however is much more complex, since the overall game fails to include John Wayne, and Jimmy Stewart, as well as any of the Laredo cast. Many of the characters are very minor in movies. Ex: Willy the kid--Billy the Kid.

Published Editions

[edit]

A number of editions of the base game of Bang! were issued over time, that contained differences in artwork and game box contents. (This section could be created as an aligned table)

# Edition - (date) - (artwork modifications) - (content additions) - (Publisher)
1st Edition - 2002 - original - base - Mayfair Games
2nd Edition - 2003 - box cover artwork (masked outlaw) - no additions - Mayfair Games
3rd Edition - (tbd) - box cover artwork (masked outlaw) - A Fistful of Cards, card tray - Mayfair Games
4th Edition - 2013 - box cover artwork (Sheriff badge, gunslinger, "The Wild West Game") - 7 colour player boards, 30 bullet tokens, coloured rule book - dV Giochi

Not to be confused with Bang! The Dice Game and it's subsequent Game Expansions — Preceding unsigned comment added by SquashEngineer (talkcontribs) 14:42, 20 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
