silver fulminate vs. TATP

[edit]

I thought the standard composition was TATP. This isn't even mentioned in the article. Does composition vary? 97.104.85.21 (talk) 05:45, 17 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It can be made out of all sorts of thing, ranging from a stoichiometric mix of sodium bicarb and sulphur to potassium chlorate and sulphur. TAPT as well as Silver fulminate is highly friction sensitive witch makes it unattractive for use in these types of pyrotechnics. I choose to doubt the legitimacy of the statement that silver fulminate is used in modern Bang-Snaps since it can barely support its own weight and mass production and cost would be a hassle to say the least. 2001:2043:1E05:3300:0:0:0:1005 (talk) 17:02, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if that would be classified as the same kind of device. Last week I saw the safer kind sold under another name, "Exploding Bunny Poop" intended for Easter celebration. I got some for my child, who was quite amused. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:45, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
