Diabetes in Bermuda

I don't exactly agree with your information on Bermuda because this article states that St. Georges is Bermuda's capital when St. Georges hasn't been since the late 1900's. Hamilton is the current capital. In no offense do I mean this letter. In addition, we Bermudians don't wear hula skirts and live off of coconuts. Reverting WP:TE by WP:SPA

I have reverted the insertion of WP:UNDUE, WP:BIAS and WP:TE by blocked IP user as likely WP:SPA. Similar changes were made by this user to several related pages: Afro-Caribbeans, Afro-Jamaicans, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Coromantee, Mixed-race Caymanians, Slave rebellion, Tacky's Rebellion, Turks and Caicos Creole, Turks & Caicos, and others.

Having compared the diffs to see if there was anything worth keeping, I have manually restored anything with RSes or which improved prose (if there was anything). Most changes were poorly sourced and added significant bias into the article, or simply removed existing information for no policy-based reason.

I don't have an opinion on the other changes, but the link to British West Indies in the lead sentence seems misplaced to me given that Bermuda is nowhere near the West Indies. ~~ Jessintime (talk) 15:28, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is a long-standing debate. Bermuda, although it is in the Atlantic, is often considered to be culturally a part of the Caribbean/West Indies, even though geographically it isn't in the Caribbean Sea. Ultimately, we must defer to what the consensus is among RSes. If consensus has shifted, it's worth looking again, but I'm not sure of any recent scholarship that would change the status quo at the moment. Lewisguile (talk) 16:44, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I won't object to that. There is already ample discussion of Bermuda's relationship with the Caribbean via CARICOM and the UK's administrative groupings further on in the article. Not to be confused with the Bahamas

does anyone know why this hatnote is there? Bermuda and the Bahamas don't sound anything like each other, aside from both starting with B, and I don't know how they can be mistaken from their names alone. 🦬 Beefaloe 🦬 12:32, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
