Why the need for a separate article for the Prabhavananda/Isherwood translation of the Gita

[edit]

There is a new edition of the 1944 classic Hindu scripture. It is arguably the best selling and most accessible English translation of the Gita, having sold over 1,000,000 copies and was used in colleges and universities in English speaking countries.

While most English translations are done by a spiritual adept or an Indologist, this translation was done with a renouned English prose author and a notable spiritual teacher and author.

It was perhaps the first "Mass-Market" translation, as the Mentor edition was used by Huston Smith in his ground-breaking 1954 NET TV Religions of Man series.

I'm still adding many more references.
