Airtel Content Moved

[edit]

I have moved most of the content regarding Airtel in Africa, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to their dedicated pages (ie, Airtel Africa, Airtel Lanka, Airtel Bangla) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mushroom9 (talkcontribs) 10:22, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Walmart Tie-up

[edit]

I think Walmart is going to tie-up with the parent Bharti Enterprises and not with Bharti Airtel. Any references? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Natrajdr (talkcontribs) 08:48, 12 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

[edit]

The links for Aegis School of Management were clearly an attempt to advertise the private educational institute's programs related to telecommunications, and may not be directly related to Bharti Airtel.

More appropriate links to be added in the "additional links" section may be links to competition, links to sites of group companies, sister concerns, holding companies and so on..

But then, why not? AirTel spams you seventeen times a day, so we can always spam this blog, right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.162.199.61 (talk) 20:33, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge (Lanka)

[edit]

I suggest merging the two. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 09:11, 4 March 2009 (UT It's arbitrary whether Bharti is third or fourth largest mobile carrier. China Mobile and China Unicom are ahead, and Vodafone has 200M across several countries. So I deleted the ranking. I also deleted the awards section, because several were imprecise and others belonged elsewhere (e.g. on Mittal's personal page.) I'd welcome someone restoring a more carefully edited collection of directly relevant awards. DaveBurstein (talk) 10:30, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request to 'Semi-Protect' the article.

[edit]

Please, semi protect this article because some specific user (user IP 122.160.10.8) is using Wikipedia's platform to abuse Bharti Airtel. And even after reverting this edit many times, same is undid again and again by him/her. --Wiki.Gunjan (talk) 09:48, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I've had to undo the the vandalism as well. It's best to semi-protect the article to prevent future vandalism. --Tary123 (talk) 10:23, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If its a single user, then maybe we should deal with the user and avoid protection. Has the IP been warned or educated about correct procedures? --KeithbobTalk 15:47, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

TelecomTalk.Info sources

[edit]

Hi, I've read this article ages ago, and all number figures for subscriber base, etc. used to link to a government body that publishes a report every quarter. Currently, I'm shocked to find that most of the references point to some random blog called telecomtalk.info, which doesn't seem to fulfill WP:RS. Requesting assistance from other editors to look into this, as I don't have the time to clean up the entire article. aJCfreak yAk 05:54, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bharti AirtelAirtel – Per WP:COMMONNAME. We normally use the doing business as name, rather than the formal, long name. Kailash29792 (talk) 11:46, 1 November 2021 (UTC) Kailash29792 (talk) 11:46, 1 November 2021 (UTC)— Relisting. Havelock Jones (talk) 14:50, 9 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
