Like many Blues and Folk songs, the different versions of this song go way back; at least as far back as Blind Lemon Jefferson's Rabbit-Foot Blues from 1926. More recent versions include Wynonie Harris, Mr Blues Jumped a Rabbit and Big Joe Turner, Blues Jumped Over a Rabbit.
