Telephone area codes

I understand that trunk telephone calls placed over the British Rail Telecommunications network historically used different area codes (STD codes) than calls placed over the regular telephone network. If this can be confirmed, could you add details on this to the article? Eastmain (talkcontribs) 04:53, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect reference to Thales

This article suggests that Racal Telecom evolved in to Thales. This isn't the case.

Racal Telecom was sold to Global Crossing for $1.65m in 1999, which was then bought by Level 3 Communications, which was then bought by CenturyLink, which then rebranded this part of the business as Lumen; and most recently agreed to sell the business to COLT for $1.8bn in 2023 (which remains in progress as of writing):
