Talk:Capitis deminutio

Two points –

1. It's diminutio, not de... It's written with an i throughout the article, as in the references, yet the title is with an e.

2. I love a good conspiracy theory as much as the next person, however nowhere in Black's dictionary is it mentioned that this is performed "through the use of capitalization". Can someone please find the references to support this, please? Thanks! BigSteve (talk) 15:32, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, it's from latin and it's spelled deminutio: dēmĭnūtĭo, deminutiōnis, f.

- deminutio capitis, deprivation of civil rights, Caes.

- deminutio vectigalium, tax reduction, Caes.

- deminutio provinciae, reduction of the government time of a province, Cic.;

- de bonis privatorum ... deminutionem facere, make a withdrawal from private assets, Cic.;
