Clarifying current issues with the page

[edit]

I have made a number of recent changes and I am a friend of the subject who is not paid for edits here and is not employed by the subject or any publicist in any way. I was concerned about the lack of citations box and added about 15 citations and also fixed some usage/grammar issues and organizational issues on the page. Nothing in my edits were designed to promote the subject. I was hoping to be able to remove the template and explained my changes and my COI on my own talk page.

I do notice through page history that a number of third-party editors have added to and improved the page. I have at times added to the discography to keep it current and to keep solid facts current. Is there a process where someone can review the article rather than wait for someone to independently edit? Can it be verified by someone at Wikipedia? I will report any edits and my COI for future edits but I don't want it to seem like tampering so much as maintenance. Thank you. Trobik (talk) 14:23, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This question goes out to Drm310 who has helped me on my own account Talk page. First and foremost, thanks for the help so far. I've come to understand that user Carlabozulich had emailed info-en-two.iwiki.icu to notify them of her identity before editing and also after to explain that her edits were a misunderstanding as she read the rules of Wikipedia to indicate that anyone could edit. Since (1) future edits from her or myself will go through the proper channels (mainly through the request edit template); (2) all of my changes over time have been strictly fact-based and were made in the past to grow this article beyond stub status; and (3) users Melcous and Rodw seem to have gone through and removed unsourced and potentially non-neutral content, what else would be needed to remove the POV issues from the top of the page? The same for the citation issue since I'd added a number of citations in my last edit. These are sincere questions. In both of our cases, the issues mostly boil down to a misunderstanding of COI. Thank you very much for your help once more. Trobik (talk) 05:23, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
