Town Charter

"Cashiers has a charter as a town from 1927, but this is now inactive as it has had no actual government for some time, if ever. Since this has never been repealed, it is unclear why it could not be reactivated instead. The new village would have had a council-manager government."

↑ is a little chatty for wikipedia and does not appear to be accurate. https://www.ncleg.net/EnactedLegislation/SessionLaws/HTML/2003-2004/SL2003-75.html was enacted in 2003 repealing the charter of the Town of Cashiers pretty unequivocally. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.115.192.146 (talk) 18:29, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
