Cathy graduated with a degree in English from Trinity College Dublin. Her theatre credits at the Abbey Theatre include The Crucible, The School For Scandal, The Playboy of the Western World (tour of Ireland and the US), The Burial at Thebes, The Plough and the Stars, A Whistle in the Dark, Tartuffe, Medea, The Broken Jug, Living Quarters, A Crucial Week in the Life of a Grocer’s Assistant and Silverlands. Other theatre work includes Festen, A View from the Bridge, Betrayal (Gate Theatre), Playboy of the Western World(Druid), Skylight (Landmark), Shiver (Rough Magic), Silas Marner, Woman in Arms (Storytellers), Tine Cnamh, An Triall, Scothscealta (Amharclann de hIde), True Lines (Bickerstaffe). She is currently appearing in the role of Maura (lead) in Roy a new TV series for Jam Media Ireland and the BBC currently airing on CBBC (UK) as well as appearing in the independent Irish feature films Savage, directed by Brendan Muldowney and Little Foxes directed by Mira Fornayova for Samson Films. Cathy appeared in Solemn Mass For A Full Moon In Summer directed by Tom Creed for Rough Magic Theatre Company at the Project Arts Centre, Dublin and recently appeared in Only An Apple a new play by Tom McIntyre directed by Selina Cartmell at the Peacock Theatre, Dublin. Cathy recently appeared in the role of Terry, a guest lead in Season 7 of The Clinic produced by Parallel Films for RTE which broadcast in the Autumn of 2009. Cathy most recently appeared in Fishamble Theatre’s acclaimed production of Abbie Spallen’s new play Strandline directed by Jim Culleton at the Project Arts Centre, Dublin. She is currently appearing in Christ Deliver Us! by Tom Kilroy, directed by Wayne Jordan at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin.
