Any link for when the grounds are open to the public?
[edit]I took a look at the links, couldn't see anything useful.
Passing by the gates of this park, and the endless boundary wall, makes me want to do a ramraid in my car, just to satisfy my curiosity about the place. Seriously, I reckon alot of passing motorists say to themselves, "I'll have to drop in there one day". At the moment, part of the wall looks like it took a couple of vehicle impacts.
Anyone know when the park opens "once or twice a year"?
I like the description of local villagers selling tea and cakes. Who's buying? I expect they trouser the profits and indulge in romantic incestuous romps in the haystacks.--Shtove (talk) 18:52, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
- I asked Google, and found that "The garden is opened on various weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays in late April and throughout May with teas being served, all in aid of various charities and community groups." Although not this year, obviously. Britmax (talk) 12:23, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
- as you drive past the wall you may notice that the deer statues over the front gate have 5 legs. Originally they had 4, but from the house they could only see 3, so they had a 5th added so that from the house it looks like 4. Fuficius Fango (talk) 09:08, 20 June 2021 (UTC)

Descent
[edit]move entire Descent section to Plunkett-Ernle-Erle-Drax? Seems out of place here considering an article for the family exists. — jonas (talk) 00:19, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
