Conflation of two stations

[edit]

@LordSavage1997: The problem with this article is that the 1833-1863 station was on the Elgin Line, not the Kincardine Line, and was not in the same location as the KL station. As the article notes, the first station was a terminus at Braeside, to the west of the town - https://www.railscot.co.uk/locations/C/Charlestown_1st/ - whilst the second is to the east of the town - https://www.railscot.co.uk/locations/C/Charlestown/ ... I think we'd be better having discrete articles for the two stations. Not least a reader understanding the station was opened in 1833 - a very early date for a railway station - and clicking on Kincardine Line will learn that line was "opened in two stages by the North British Railway: from Alloa to Kincardine in 1893, and the eastern section in 1903". --Tagishsimon (talk) 13:35, 9 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After a massive hiatus, I'll make those changes now. LordSavage1997 (talk) 05:36, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
