Origin and identity of the Chauhan Clan
[edit]This has been a very hot subject of discussion among historians due to extensive research and proofs in favour of the chaubans being Gurjars. Prithviraj Raso mentions Chauhans with Gurjar identity in multiple instances. Moreover, the local Rajasthan Deity (lok Devta) Devnarayan was also a Chauhan Gurjar. There is an article on him which Can be taken as a reference.
Even today, many politicians such as Sanjay Singh, Hukum Singh and Mriganka Singh etc. are from Gurjar Chauhan clan. All this has to be mentioned in the main article otherwise it doesn’t serve the purpose of knowledge to the general public neither it can be called unbiased which is the main feature of the Wikipedia articles.
