Possible remastering of the infobox and casualty estimate sections

[edit]

Hello, as some of you may know, there was a Genocide of Bosniaks in World War II article that was recently deleted due to it being viewed as a fork of this article. However, I stated in the deletion discussion that I would also be perfectly ok with much-needed revising to the infobox and causalities section of this article, particularly separating Croat and Bosniak/Muslim casualties, as well as using the full variation of estimates provided in the casualties section, with the exception of Rummel’s figures, which are viewed as impossibly high. Is want a discussion here on the talk page first about what figures should be included in the ranges. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 00:00, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, first off, as I said I think that the Croat and Muslim/Bosniak casualties should separated as per the sources, and that the upper estimate of 100,000 Muslims/Bosniaks should be included as well. For example, it could look something like “estimates”: c. 30,000 Croats and 29,000-100,000 Muslims/Bosniaks etc Aliy Dawut (talk) 19:27, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Amy further thoughts on the matter?? Aliy Dawut (talk) 01:50, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No way the Rummel figures should be referenced in the infobox. They are fringe, frankly. Who else is saying 100,000 Muslims? Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 03:08, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I never mentioned that Rummel’s figures should be used in the infobox, rather that Croat and Muslim fatalities should be separated instead of conjoined as they are right now, per the sources, and also here’s this; “The historian Šemso Tucaković estimates in his book "Crimes Against Bosnian Muslims 1941–1945" that around 100,000 Muslims were killed by the Chetniks.”[1] Aliy Dawut (talk) 20:28, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And by the way, Rummel estimated 500,000 victims of the Chetniks, not 100,000 as the other source I just mentioned does Aliy Dawut (talk) 20:29, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Any other thoughts now? Aliy Dawut (talk) 20:48, 6 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
